city of lies

As I walk down the street

In the City of Lies

I think about the pain

Hiding my cries

Stopped for a moment

Looked at my shadow

To see it grow large

And burst in flames.

Took a look at the mirror

To see my bloody tears

Looked around me

And saw the demons of my fears.

Struck to the ground

By unspeakable force

Lying there, helpless

Watching the horrors…

You gave me a hand

And when I thought its fine

You broke my wrist

Such a crime

Cut me open, with a rusty blade

All over the street – flood of my blood

Took a heavy brick

And hit my fingers – one by one

Me, screaming

Till you’re done.

Bleed, break, hit, cut

No matter what

At the end, I’ll stand up

Still alive, but breathing hard

Listening to the sounds of the gun

It shoots, bullets hit my heart

I’m dead, it’s no longer fun
